Lors d’une cérémonie officielle hier, plusieurs personnalités ont été décorées par l’État mauricien pour leurs contributions exceptionnelles dans divers domaines.

La plus haute distinction, le Grand Commander of the Order of the Star and Key of the Indian Ocean (GCSK), a été attribuée au Premier ministre indien Narendra Modi pour son rôle majeur dans le renforcement des relations entre l’Inde et Maurice.

Par ailleurs, 19 personnalités ont été élevées au rang de Grand Officer of the Order of the Star and Key of the Indian Ocean (GOSK), en reconnaissance de leurs contributions remarquables à la nation.

D’autres ont été distinguées en tant qu’Officer of the Order of the Star and Key of the Indian Ocean (OSK) ou Member of the Order of the Star and Key of the Indian Ocean (MSK).

Bernard Saminaden, journaliste fort de plus de 30 ans d’expérience, se dit honoré par sa distinction d’Officer of the Order of the Star and Key of the Indian Ocean (OSK). Il qualifie son parcours de véritable combat.

Bose Soonarane, président de la Renal Diseases’ Patients Association, a été récompensé pour son engagement inlassable en faveur des patients dialysés. Pour rappel, il s’est battu pour les 11 patients dialysés décédés lors de la pandémie de Covid-19. Il a également été fait Officer of the Order of the Star and Key of the Indian Ocean (OSK).

La Dr Ameegah Paul a été distinguée en tant que Member of the Order of the Star and Key of the Indian Ocean (MSK) pour son engagement en faveur de l’inclusion et des droits des femmes à travers son travail social.
