La plus haute distinction du pays, le Grand Commander of the Order of the Star and Key of the Indian Ocean (GCSK), a été attribuée au Premier ministre indien Narendra Modi. Cette reconnaissance met en lumière son rôle déterminant dans le renforcement des relations bilatérales entre l’Inde et Maurice.

Au total, 19 autres personnalités ont été distinguées cette année, recevant le prestigieux titre de Grand Officer of the Order of the Star and Key of the Indian Ocean (GOSK) pour leurs contributions remarquables. Parmi eux, on retrouve Dr Farhad Aumeer, Pazhany Rangasamy. Rommaldawo Sheik Hussen a lui été élevé au rang de Member of the Order of the Star and Key of the Indian Ocean (MSK).

Dr Farhad Aumeer, GOSK, exprime sa profonde gratitude après une carrière professionnelle de 33 ans. Il remercie tout particulièrement le Premier ministre Navin Ramgoolam d’avoir reconnu sa contribution.

Pazhany Rangasamy, également GOSK, considère cette distinction comme une reconnaissance de son engagement dans plusieurs affaires d’envergure.

Rommaldawo Sheik Hussen, Member of the Order of the Star and Key of the Indian Ocean (MSK) pour ses services dans le secteur du tourisme et du travail social, se dit très honoré de cette reconnaissance. Il souligne l'importance d’encourager les jeunes à intégrer le secteur de l’hôtellerie.
