Actor and filmmaker Satish Kaushik passed away in Gurugram at the age of 66 on Wednesday. His friend and colleague Anupam Kher confirmed the news of his death to indianexpress.com. Satish Kaushik died after suffering a heart attack in the NCR. Kaushik was visiting his friend in Gurugram when his health deteriorated and he asked his driver to take him to hospital. However, he suffered a heart attack in the car and could not be saved.
His body was brought from Gurugram’s Fortis hospital to Delhi’s Deen Dayal Upadhyay hospital for postmortem on Thursday. His mortal remains will be flown to his home in Mumbai today afternoon after the postmortem finishes. Bollywood celebs such as Ajay Devgn, Abhishek Bachchan, Kangana Ranaut and Sharad Kelkar, among many others, condoled his death. Union minister Amit Shah also tweeted his tribute.
