This is the shocking moment giant waves smashed into tourists recording a river.
Onlookers were filming the incoming waves when the water suddenly surged towards them in Zhejiang, China, on September 23.
Footage shows holidaymakers running from the river as the waves approached the riverbank. Some onlookers remained standing despite the strong current, while others were knocked to the ground by the force of the waves.
No injuries were reported from the incident.
The filmer said: 'It is unbelievable that the tide of the Qiantang River is still so powerful even 100 kilometers away. Be sure to heed the on-site tide shouters, watch the tide from a safe area, and hope that every tourist comes happily and returns safely.'
Qiantang River Tide attracts thousands of tourists each year because of its famous tidal bore. The phenomenon occurs when ocean tides forcefully surge into the river's narrow mouth, creating massive waves that can reach heights of up to 9 meters (30 feet).
